Eyh, Anyone playing guitar here ? I've been playing classical guitar for about 2 years now, I can play a C minor prelude by Barrios , E minor Bourree By Bach , C sonata by Paganini , A andantino by Carcassi ,and a bunch of easier pieces. I also play pretty much anything by metallica (except the solos). I play a bunch of iron maiden song,including Phantom of the Opera full including solos. I play also some Jazz-like music like Chat Atkins. please share what you play with me,give me suggestions of stuff to learn etc!

I have an acoustic guitar, I don't know how to play it, but a kid in my dorm is teaching my how to play it. I can play the bass guitar though.

I've been playing for about 6 years now. Self-taught, mostly acoustic.

I've been playing for a couple of years now, 5 maybe? I started on acoustic, then played electric for a while, and I still play around with my electric some - except the floating bridge makes it a pain in the ass to get and keep in tune.

Ever since I got my takamine acoustic which I really like, I havent really been playing elec., I love the great tone you can get from an acoustic, and now I play like crap on electrics - the strings are too light, I am really sloppy, gotta play the acoustic with nice thick strings.

I play the electric and sometimes the bass.

I been playing for a couple of years now, not that great cause I never really escape the open chords that much. I got one of those Fender Stratocoustics so it's a decent hybrid of elec and acoustic. I need to practice more often so I can do faster progressions, everything I play sounds very folky. I did teach myself with a little help now and then from a good friend of mine. I recommend www.altcountrytab.com if your looking for some fun stuff to play. It has a lot of rock stuff on there that I don't know if I would call alt-country, but it's all good.

They have thousand of tabs and using the appropriate software (GuitarPro, its free) you can listen to the tabs and edit them!

For music sheets,the best page I've found is this one http://www.classicalguitar.nl

It has no pop-ups no ads,only classical music sheets for guitar. Also,most song got a mp3 and midi track coming with them so you can learn the song more easily!

I took classical guitar lessons for 5 or 6 years, but that was about 15 years ago. I liked playing that stuff a lot. I took lessons under Carlo Pezzimenti, you might be able to find some of his cd's online. He studied under Segovia like a million years ago.

Although, now I can't read music anymore and have more fun making noise.

You studied classical guitar with a student of Segovia ?! Oh My God you are really lucky, this is supposed to have infused you great music powers transmitted by the master. Most of the modern guitar icons have connections in their studies with past masters like Tarrega, Segovia, Barrios and others.
