I've kinda given up on reading (well finishing) anything besides a textbook. But I just ordered The Panic Virus by Seth Mnookin and I have hope for spring break.

I read Richard Cory as a kid and really liked it....

Bare Faced Messiah

A (highly critical) biography of L. Ron Hubbard & his life story, including how he invented the 'religion' of scientology.

Hurrying to finish The Hundred Days by Patrick O'Brien so I can start Let's Explore Diabetes With Owls by David Sedaris.

That Custer book sounds interesting. Care to tell us about it?

Just finished Mr Unpronounceable Adventures, a trippy graphic novel of sorts - got it because of the description "William S Burroughs meets HPL." It was surreal and funny.

Reading now: Eternal Lovecraft - a collection, got it just for the TED Klein story The Events at Poroth Farm. Half way in, so far so good. Collections are dicey because there's bound to be a dud.

And re-reading If This Be Glory, a memoir of the Eastern Front by a German soldier told in the 3rd person - and this book is amazing!

Books on order: The graphic novel adaptation of The Case of Charles Dexter Ward and Swamp Thing: Dark Genesis - the 70's origian series by Len Wein and illustrated by Bernie Wrightson. I had this years ago and miss it - dark and moody telling of the Swamp Thing saga. Can't wait to read it again.

This book is pretty interesting, but I'm an archaeology major so it may be boring to others. At times it becomes a bit academic journalesque, though not to the extent that you're re-reading paragraphs, it's still quite easy to follow

The Statues that Walked: Unraveling the Mystery of Easter Island by: Carl Lipo and Terry Hunt

Just started this book on Monday and almost finished. It's horrific at times, but will definitely change your outlook on life.

Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea by: Barbara Demick

Just finished William Friedkin's memoir: The Friedkin Connection. Some great insight into how his films got made. Now I'm reading a collection of short stories by Robert E. Howard.

Halfway through Stephen King's "Different Seasons". Read "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" (and in my head heard Morgan Freeman's voice haha) and "Apt Pupil" so far. Two more novellas in that book to go.

Just finished "Star Island" by Carl Hiaasen.

Next up after "Different Seasons"... think A Clockwork Orange. Been meaning to read the book for awhile.
