the sun is shining here, the birds are singing, the trees are budding and I decided to take my Cobalt for a ride today over to vermont to get some good, ethanol free gasoline. On my way there, i collided with the ferry and got cheap ferry paint on my mirror. After that, i noticed I had a quarter-sized chunk of grill missing on the drivers' side of my car... wtf???

the bright spot was that I finally changed the front brakes on my car so now it stops like a Ferrari once more... i don't think 75,000 miles out of a set of pads and rotors was too bad. The rotors weren't warped and the pads had just started to sing.

Sucks about the damage Sam. BTW, you wouldn't be interested in a rust free Late 80's early 90's Z24 Cavy would ya? I don't know nothing about it except that its sitting, looks complete, and has those god awful ( you may like them, your weird ) square rims. If your interested I have no problem doing a door knock hoss. Lemme know.

i didn't have to change them... i just drive my car... spiritedly in the summer.

As for the Z24, Jeeper, 1988-1990 ARE the PREFERRED years of Z24. They had that 'look'. Up here, even with high mileage, they command big dollars.
Let me know what's with that car.

I had to change my driver side front brake pads on Monday after stepping on the brakes on the way home from work and hearing a horrendous screech. Once I removed the caliper and the shield, I discovered there was some weird piece of metal and a rock wedged between the drum and the shield so it was scraping up one of side of the drum. Car stops better than ever oddly...

roughing up the disc or inside of a drum will do that.
