Coles notes, some guy eats breakfast and does donuts in a subaru, eurotrash soundtrack. Frosted hair and spray-on suntan is implied.

$500-1000... i'm looking for something to 'rally' here.
something that I can put skidplates on and be ridiculous with.
the body can be dinged and dented within reason, but RUST is the enemy. Also, it needs to be AWD and 4/5speed manual.

its usually a flat rate for shipping not a dollar per mile, send it by train.

Shouldn't be charged by the mile...and I compared train vs. truck transport, not very much different.

I had the Hummer shipped from South Western Ontario to Northern Alberta on a car hauler for $1400CDN taxes in.

Yeah, I would put it on a train; there's an outfit at the BNSF Terminal here in Portland that does car shipping.

train or truck from portland will cost more than the car, the $1.50 to $2/mile is a ballpark figure. car size, weight, gas prices, season, total distance, delivery schedule all will affect final price. doing the math for oddspot's $1400 using windsor and fort mcmurray as a+b prices out to less than $1/mile which is quite good for an SUV. best case double that figure to get a $500 car from portland to monticello... hardly worth it for a beataround car.

Samurai COULD take Amtrak here in the same time as driving for about 200. I would ferry him over to this car.
