	Odo on the car has probably been mis-registered at some point, but I really douby it's been tampered with... it's digital and a controlled by the ECU. If the cluster has been changed, odo will say "error", if the ECU has been changed, the data will have been paired up with the cluster. Even I'll say it, VW automatics suck.

I started out pretty good with a manual transmission. Just saying.

Who knows. Maybe they guessed the mileage one year when they bought validation for it, or when it had a safety inspection.

If you're not at all mechanically inclined, just get a Cavalier or a Civic or something. It'll cost less to fix.
