All I want is...

Someone that:

-Would love to go Urbexing with me, but also like to go to some place classy from time to time.

-Enjoys photography, but also likes to be the model

-Loves music and concerts as much as I do... it'd be great if she played an instrument, but not required...but would be great if she came to my shows

-Likes to stay active in numerous hobbies, yet always wants to learn something new

-Would love to go camping for a weekend as a date, or do the cliche dinner/movie thing.

-Has a personality as far stretched out as mine...

Is that so much to ask? It just seems people fit themselves into certain categories and are so afraid to budge to experience anything else life has to offer, and I find that very depressing.

Careful about the urbex thing. It always sounds like a great idea at first, but from experience and the experiences of others it doesn't always work out that way.

I'm not suggesting not doing exciting things together like stuff outdoors or maybe some occasional light urbex. But sometimes It's really nice to simply have a hobby where you can go get away from it all solo or with some friends. And urbex is a great unwinding/relaxing hobby where on the weekend one can go get away from it all for a few hours. With an urbex person as a partner, that option is almost completely gone. Depending on how much the partner is into urbex, there can even be jealousy/anger if you urbex something when the GF isn't around (which I think is ridiculous).

I think that it just depends on the girl. I want to urbex any chance I get and would want my parnter around when ever they wanted sure but if they dont go or go somewhere without me I am not gonna sit at home and cry about it lol. its like anything in life, everything is good in moderation including time spent together. also being mature enough to know that in a healthy relationship there needs to be "me" or "you" time. being able to have time to yourself or with your friends that doesn't involve your b/f or g/f. spending every minute together is a quick way to burn yourself out and become one of those couples who never talk or are just bored to death of each other.

and ashes good luck on your search

While I agree with all of the above, and know that it happens, I still could never date someone who wasn't into exploring.

I sorta know what you mean. Because to me it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. How would someone like us be able to be with a 'normal' person? Chances are it wouldn't work our in the long-term. That doesn't mean she can't have her own obscure hobbies and still not be quite 'normal'.

The point to clarify my original point is that I don't think most guys think about the the potential consequences of an urbex GF. Most guys say that's a great quality (and it is). But when looking for the GF urbexor they only see the positives of that and fail to think about any associated negatives with an urbex GF.

My last girlfriend wasn't into exploring, and wished that I weren't, either. She was very concerned with me getting injured in a location, and even almost three years after we broke up (wow, it's been a while), she's STILL concerned for my safety.

I don't think I would like that either. I guess that's the polar opposite of the GF that goes everywhere with you. I guess it's good she's concerned, but being over-concern like would just bother me because I'd interpret it as her not trusting in my skills and abilities.

You'll find it! I did

Mine is more accepting of urbex than into it though. This, I believe is perfect. I can go run off into random abandoned things and not worry about him considering me a psychopath. It's mostly my own hobby, but I can still convince him to check out a few places with me. Perfect balance

I get what you are saying... Its similar to being in a band and dating a girl that comes to your shows. It can be bad, but like Cossette said, you have to be mature about it.
