Cheating is a touchy concept. Everyone sees it differently. We each watch it on our own or together. Since he works at an adult store, considering that cheating would be pretty stupid. But to an extremely conservative couple, it could be. I think if either feels uncomfortable with the other watching porn, they should find something to watch together.

By my definition, cheating is when you break an agreement. Is there an agreement that you will not watch porn? If there is, then yes you are. If there is either no agreement, or you agreed that is not a problem. Well then it's not a problem.

That said, there is a gray area. If you try to keep it a secret, that is withholding. If there is a agreement that you will not lie, then withholding is breaking the agreement. So, if this has become a problem, talk to your partner. Ask what she/he finds acceptable, and what you find acceptable and make a agreement. If your partner is the jealous type, you may find that it would be best to find someone else. If you find that you can't be honest, then you need to take a long look at yourself.

Looking at porn is not cheating. But - if, for example, you watch xtube, and do things like message someone via their profile saying "hot vids, send me the pin so I can see the rest" which turns into swapping messages, exchanging personal email addresses and swapping photos & text messages, then yes it gets into cheating - even if the person is several states away.

Nowadays looking at internet porn offers opportunities to not just view pics but also interact with other people. It was so much simpler hiding magazines in a shoebox.

I voted no on this poll because unless the 'art' or 'porn' that is being viewed is on a viewing site only and -referring to Esoterik's post- does not allow interaction between two people.

My extra 2cents on this topic, adult sites imho carry viruses and I would not want my boyfriend to possibly harm my computer when / if he had one of his own.

When living in Chicago, and engaged. My fiance saw that I had "Stuff", and "Maxim" magazines. She threw a FIT! Saying I bought them to stare at the women and fantasize. *sheepish look* I quickly explained that, no, I bought them for the articles and they just happened to have pictures in them, and that as a decent human being I can appreciate fine 'art' without wanting to repeatedly slam a door on my junk.


So about 2 weeks later, after she gave me hell over the magazines.... I found a whole stash of downloaded porn on her computer.
She was like "i just like watching them" and "this is different, its not even the same because it doesnt turn me on I just watch them for fun" and "you're being an idiot" etc...

There's probably a good reason that she's still in Chicago and I'm in Cali again.

Porn has never been cheating to me. Cheating is a physical interaction; a kiss, handjob, fucking, cleavland steamer, etc. The one girlfriend I had who considered it cheating didn't get her way for very long lol.
