I finally got around to getting my negs from the last year or so scanned. This is my first foray into medium format. Big thanks to Dan the Jammster for his advice from about a year and a half ago. All photos shot with a RB67 with Sekor 50mm on Fuji Acros in D-76 1:1.

Im astounded at the shadow/highlight detail compared to digital, its really not even close

You can actually see detail through the window in the lower left of the window and still retain full texture in the dark areas.

More amazing range......

Damn. Nice work, buster.

I'm always glad to see someone else lugging heavy-ass gear around in weird places.

Thanks, I don't think the RB is all that heavy. I did a lot of sketchy ladder and catwalk stuff in that power plant and was surprised it didn't get bulky.

Oh well now that's just ridiculous !

Its just amazing though, with reduced development the tonal ranges that can be achieved with film, it really is a higher truth when compared to digital.

Depends a bit on the digital. My 5dm2 is comparable to most film and possibly a bit better than some in terms of usable tonal range. Though a 35mm-size sensor still can't touch the majesty of a big negative.

These are amazing! I prefer film over digital any day. Digital lacks not only some of the technical aspects, but I feel like it lacks the same care and love (I spend some stupid amount of money and time processing my b/w film and printing by hand in a darkroom...when I shoot digital I feel like I don't put as much into it) and something I just can't quite put my finger on...

These are great. It makes shooting 35mm hard to go back to after having negatives that look like those.

Beautiful work! I love Medium Format (Pentax 645 and Rollei TLR shooter here), love B/W, and Arcos film.

Great work there, seriously.

35mm is adorably small.

This!

I've pretty much stopped using 35mm, in favour of 120. Once I am able to afford it I'm planning to play around with my dad's large format cameras.

This is the best set I've seen on UER in a long fucking time. Everything about these shots are awesome.

Agreed.

I haven't had the courage to bring mine anywhere risky yet.
