No. And I meant Rebel XT-T2i line.

The Rebel XS is a different class of dslr. The replacement for the XT was the XTi it went Rebel (300D) -- XT (350D) -- XTi (400D) -- XSi (450D) -- T1i (500D) -- T2i (550D)

Think about it, with canon's system, the lower the number in the series the higher quality the camera:

1D
5D
7D
50D
450D
500D
550D
1000D

The XS replacement is rumored to be a EOS 2000D.

The XS is definitely better than the XT, check it out on dpreview. But yours is an AMAZING deal... which is why I'm back and fourth... Don't worry im still leaning more towards your XT

The thing that I REALLY like about the XS is the live view mode and the sensor cleaner...

That's one of the reasons I'm upgrading myself ... buy what you want, personally I would save up and buy an XSi ... the XS is like a downgraded XSi.


I have a friend who said he would take my camera off my hands sometime in the summer, so it's really up to you.


The problem is, I want to buy a t2i but don't want to break the bank and don't think I'll have the money to buy a t2i, make it to the meet, and then sell the XT. I was going to sell the XT before I upgraded, myself.


I can almost guarantee you, if you buy an XS or XT, you will want to upgrade later on. If you just want a DSLR, that works now and don't mind upgrading, get the XT. If you want a body that will last for quite a few years, go for an XSi or T1i.


I might be willing to make the deal better if you could do it sooner (end of July?), say $330 plus shipping, so probably about $350 said and done.

If we could do that I'd definitely buy your XT. I get payed on the 1st, and I'll see how much of that I can spend on a camera, if I can't spare enough from that check I'll have enough by the time I get payed on the 15th

No but the battery life is excellent never needed them. You'd be better off to buy another few specialized batteries.I also don't know of any dslr that can take AAs straight ... they would burn through so fast it wouldn't be worth it.

Yeah, youre right... I was mostly thinking of the Spiderpex trip when thered be no opportunity to charge them all weekend

My battery lasts for hundreds of pictures, but then I don't use the flash. Like, serious hundreds, not just a few hundred.

If this ends up not panning out, my XT body/case/batteries/kit lens/chargers is probably up for grabs.

Probably not hydro ... I arrived home to a blinking red battery on my laptop and the screen keeps crashing out ... I don't know if I'll be able to upgrade my camera afterall...
