I really want to do it... but the web seems to suck for info. I have a 12 hp Craftsman with a bad cutting deck that's just begging to be converted. Anyone have any experience? I'm not sure where I'd get the appropriate pulleys and stuff.

Hard chrome the crank, lighten the flywheel, needle bearings for crank and cam, regrind and lighten cam, 8" intake plenum, 36mm Mikuni, mill the head, grind the valve stems smaller, port the block for lots more flow, Reverse cone exhaust pipe, Torque converter with a 3500 stall at the front, and stiffer springs at the rear, Change gears for track condition. OH!!! cheat like hell and blend up some hot ass fuel.....
You can see a million miles tonite, but you can't get very far.

I took an old tiny steel-framed Craftsman ride-on mower and made it pretty fast. But threw away the engine and put an upright Briggs and Stratton 15 in place of the horizontal dealy that was on it, and linked it to a live axle. By no means a racing tractor but pretty darn fast and I definitely got looks. That might have also had to do with the baby-blue powdercoat I gave it or the tractor seat I mounted or the unrestricted exhaust
Yea it was pretty outrageous. Pretty sure I have pics somewhere, including what it looked like stripped down to the frame. Ill try and find them
