So, I haven't shot a model in a very long time, and I miss it. I used to convince my non-explorer friends to do all sorts of ridiculous things (like lay in a pool in february, or climb giant rusty I-beams). I thought I ought to start this up again.

Then, after realizing that I don't have any female friends in Raleigh, and considering going the "May" route and sewing together a friend out of stolen body parts, I decided that I could just put a tangle-y ten dollar wig on myself and make a new friend!

After shooting some pictures at an old nursing home (and spooking two kids that came wandering through talking about orbs) I decided that shooting myself is a bit of a pain and I need to gather some models from the depths of the internet next time. D: Also, apparently I look like Cher.

Well you know what I think of these. Also, fuck mosquitoes. The one where you're sprawled in the chair is the creepiest - due to saturation effects?

5 and 6 are my favorites. They go really good together. Warm and cool with a similar pose.

i think self-shooting is very
difficult and you are pretty
good at it.

if you do shoot yourself again,
i'd challenge to try for some
facial expression. not all the
time, of course, but maybe on
one or two. i think it would
flesh out some personality in
the photographs and give the
resulting image more character.

I think I like the first and last the best. These remind me of your self portraits...very much on the vibe of your other stuff and I likes it!
