Found this guy while we were walking around the Great Smokey Mountains National Park in the middle of an Acid Precipitation Monitoring Station in a small clearing. Basically, it was a field with a bunch of precipitation collection buckets that tested the water for Ph levels.

That is a great turtle picture. I took some turtle pictures yesterday, but they aren't so great. The turtles were all in water and they just wouldn't stay still!

In terms of critique, it would have been nice if you could have walked up to the bugger and removed all of the foreground grass and crap. Easier said than done.

With any NORMAL turtle that would be have been easy... But this guy wasn't a normal turtle. Instead of just pulling himself into his shell and chilling out until it got quiet again, when this guy saw something he took off like some kind of speed walker! Lol...
