Been there, done that with Ram23.

I believe the good Budda has been there. I also believe the security there is ramped up a little bit. Don't be stupid, avoid them.

Budda, how did the pool smell?

Yes, yes, I am aware that you and a few other folks have been in the place.

I'm talking about tonight... err, early morning.

Without going into too much detail on a somewhat public board: SWIM went hotel exploring tonight. He almost ran into somebody at the Sheraton but had the good sense to avoid them, whoever they might have been. SWIM was curious if it was a fellow UER member or not, since the place is decently well sealed up, still decently unmolested inside and in a good part of town.

ps: SWIM reports that security seems to be nonexistent.

I went there about 2 weeks ago. Security is weak but not non existent. I ended up having to make apologetic small talk with a security guard on the way out. Nothing ever came of it. I doubt he really cared that much.

Like Chlorine and disappointment, with a slight hint of asparagus and tacos. Kinda hard to say actually.

And stupid is as stupid does.

The pool's nice. And some of the workout machines are self-powered and have calorie counters... burn a few calories and then go for a swim. It's a good time.

ps: I have only done one of the above mentioned things. Can you guess which one?

Yeah dude... I burned ten calories, and I don't think I would have stayed in the pool long enough to do that. :p

Very interesting.

So maybe this place is a little more high risk than I first imagined... ha.

When I was there, we were having fun laughing at all the clueless cop cars we could see on Rt 4 from the roof.

There's seemingly no hint of an alarm though. This last time I spent a good 3-4 hours there with no interference. I imagine with all the $$ worth equiptment just left though I imagine they watch the place pretty closely. I did see a white sedan (possibly LEO) pulling out of the lot as we were heading downstairs to leave, and the security guy showed up the first time we were there. He claimed to not expect to see us come out (my friend decided to surrender.) Whether or not they thought/knew we were in there is debatable.

Why didn't you guys just go out the back and up into the neighborhood behind it? If security has already caught people a few times, that's why the cops are aware of it now, and its pretty easy to see any flashlights inside the place from all around since it's got glass on all sides.

That was my plan A, but the doors that were openable all faced the front where the security guard was waiting. Also I have a particularly bad case of tendinitis and am in no shape to run if I have to. I was totally ready to wait it out but sadly that's not how it worked out. After assessing the threat as minimal (just a security guard and his trashy girlfriend) we decided fuck it and play dumb. Strategy worked.

I see, I would be careful going back though, if the cops were hauling ass into there before, chances are the security informed them they've caught a few people breaking in, and small town cops like those are the biggest dicks because catching some guys in an abandoned building is the most action they ever get to see.

Is that the Springdale PD's area up there? If so, I can certainly imagine how they've got nothing better to do.

Nice neighborhood with a relatively low population and barely any discernible landmarks besides an international food market. It's a snoozer indeed.
