I've been wanting to hop trains for a few years, I haven't gotten around to it yet probably due to the lack of some one experienced to go with...
I need to get out east sometime this month or next, so if anyone is planning on heading east from the west coast. Let me know I'd love to join!

I'm not anywhere near there plus I'm in school so I can't help you.

However you should hit up these two sites where you'll have better luck hooking up with somebody. You have to register and account with each before you will be able to see the train hopping sub-forum for that site.

yes yes yes yes.

i've been meaning to catch out up to cheyenne for a while now. i figure it'll be a nice introduction to hopping freight.

but again, there's that school thing preventing a months-long epic quest. time to graduate already...

STP is a good site, just don't ask for handouts, and do your research. Keep your specific riding info, and questions to PM's. Never ask for a CC.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

STP is a good site and there are several great tutorials for navigating on a train trip. Apparently they have a new rule though that you have to have ten posts on the site before you can see the trainhopping forum.

Are you catching from Denver? I'm really wanting to get down there after the haloween season. So if ya need a traveling buddy and I'm in the area I'd love to join!

And keeping it from being published is more about preventing 'tards from getting themselves killed than keeping it out of the hands of law enforcement, as people are caught with them all the time.

The crew change guide is already over blown. Learning info on catchout spots ext is just like learning about and accessing potential UE locations. With google and youtube you can pretty much do all the reconnaissance you need. Learn how to read between the lines.
My only advice is to stay out of big cities and try to go with someone who has done it a few times at least.

STP has removed the train hop section from the board completely, due to the idiot posters on the site.
