I hate donks more than anything else in the world. If I won the lottery, I would spend a substantial amount of it buying donks, removing the lift kits and stupid rims, reverting them to stock and re-selling them.

I wish I had had the camera I just got when I was in Memphis...it's like the capitol for these stupid things.

Although, I did see one I liked. A purple/blue 1980 something Monte Carlo with pretty spinners and blue tint windows. Just having the stupid 20 or 25 inch wheels on it made it ridiculous though.

Yeah, down South is terrible for those ridiculous things...My girlfriend lives in Hattiesburg, MS and it's full of them. The worst was a pearlescent sky blue Crown Vic on 26"s with Lambo doors and Skittles-themed paint.

I still laugh at the 80 something Oldsmobile painted up like the fucking Kool Aid Man, with four big 20 or 25 inch bicycle type spoke rims. I saw that on a Saturday morning on my way to Graceland. That was the single worst one I saw and with the way Memphis is, I was scared shitless to laugh about it.

A friend of mine lives in Hattiesburg, MS. I haven't spoken to him in a while though, but he never mentioned them when I talked to him last, I didn't think they'd caught on down there.

When I lived in Schenectady, NY area still, there was a first generation Caravan I would see around Troy and Rensselaer that was converted to a donk. It would make me cringe when I would see it.

I took a closer look at one day when I saw it parked at a CVS Pharmacy; they put in a different suspension which is something I would of done, but I could not figure what vehicle they robbed to put it in. It almost seemed like they took it from an E350, but some of it didn't seem right.

We will have to agree to disagree.

1) They ruin your ride and can damage the suspension.

2) They take away power. The larger the wheel, the more power it takes to turn them.

3) They increase strain on the steering.

4) They increase strain on the brakes.

5) They reduce your fuel mileage.

6) They throw off your speedometer.

7) They increase strain on the transmission.

8) The tiny tires wear out quickly.

9) Anyone who has ever participated in real racing will tell you that the more rubber on the road the better.

So, in my opinion, big rims and tiny tires are stupid.

Oh I never said they should stay stock. I definitely agree with you there.

It seems like on subcompacts like Samurai's beloved Cobalt, they put on awful tires at the factory. But yet on full size and SUVs the stock tires are acceptable to me at least.

Pirelli PZero Rossa's were by no means awful tires. Also, the wheels are well-proportioned to the look of the car. It is by no means a donk.

that was on the 05 Base coupe... they were Continental Conti-Tracs (195-60-15) and they were the absolute worst tires I have ever had on a car.

my only bitch about the Pirelli's when I got the SS was the fact the fronts lasted maybe 12,000 miles and the rears 14,000. But then again, they were a high performance tire... these weren't tires on yer moms' Hyundai.
