I'm sure everybody remembers the Grindhouse movies that Robert Rodriguez made...well, there was a trailer in one of them, for a movie called Machete with Danny Trejo and Robert De Niro.

I honestly can't believe they actually made the damn movie, not with the politically correct climate in this country lately.

It comes out this weekend, I really wanna see it. Take a look.

Damn right it is...add Tom Savini to it and you have one hell of a movie, along with Cheech Marin for comic relief as the priest.

That's the movie site and Sam...it's gonna be at the Cumberland 12 starting tomorrow. I just checked.

Thank the god and goddess for an independent theatre owned by a guy that actually seems to dig the same movies we do.

I can't believe I haven't heard of this movie before. How the hell can you go wrong with a cast like that?

I peed next to Tom Savini once. He appeared to be rather amply endowed.

He's like one of my favorite people. Anybody that can work with George Romero and live to tell the tale and not go crazy is like fucking amazing.

I'm also surprised I never heard of the movie either. All I heard of was Rodriguez's little Predators flick. I didn't hear about this one, sadly, until earlier today when I was poking around some movie news site and they talked about the premiere of the movie.

I was working at a hotel at the time that was hosting a horror convention. I asked him what he thought, as a makeup artist, of digital effects. He said "I fucking hate that shit! There's no art in it!"

Indeed.

Exhaustion, with the creeping crud.

It's similar to what put me out of work for two days last March, sitting up is a chore for more than an hour or so, all I've wanted to do is sleep for like three days. Living on granola bars, ginger ale and gatorade because the thought of eating more than that makes me want to puke.

I got another day or two of it if it's the same shit, hopefully it'll go away, if not, then it's off to the doctor for IV glucose and fluids. Probably gonna stop to the nurse at work tomorrow morning anyway.

I blame Bill. I got sick right after he did in March, I'm betting he got sick last week while he was on vacation. Usually that's how it goes, he gets sick and I get sick not too long after.

And you can't blame the cigarettes, I haven't touched a regular one in like two weeks.

Checked it out. Watched if for free online (Novamov.com) crappy way to see a movie (4 second delay between what's said and when their lips move) but the price was right and I can tell you this...HOLY SHIT! Body count up the ying-yang, over-the-top acting, (not good, just over-the-top) everybody was hamming it up. Some creative new ways to kill people, and I thought I'd scene it (HA) all.

Will def. catch this on the big screen. But not first row, that Trejo is one oogly mf.
