is almost here!

(and we know that Montreal is now fucked as they no longer have Halak but they decided to keep Price for 5.5 million/2 years. Bullshit.)

Yeah they really kept the wrong goalie.

I was disappointed to hear Kariya is going to miss the entire 2010/2011 season because of post concussion symptoms. He's one of my favorite players.

So there's 2 things i'm waiting to see this NHL season....

1) Dion Phaneuf's first full season in T.O. Will he be the needed push to get this team into the playoffs? Probably not. But it should be fun to watch the Leafs this year.

2) How the Habs do without Halak. I really don't see Carey Price being the number 1 guy this year. If anything, him and newcomer Auld will most likely split the duties between them. Of course stranger things have happened and maybe Price will surprise everyone this year and take home the Vezina.

1) Maybe he won't be the push, but I have a feeling he'll have a fairly good season though.

2) If Carey Price ends up kicking some serious ass and wins the Vezina, I will have a heart attack. I mean sure it would be good for the team if he surprised everyone but, man oh man, I really hope Auld is the winner here.

Pre-season game or not, the 5-0 loss the Leafs had to Ottawa was pretty bad. Way to show how badass you can play, Phaneuf/Kadri/etc...

It was terrible! I stopped watching after the end of the 2nd when it was 3-0 because it was that bad. It was like watching a AAA game and i know they only had a few regulars playings, but for some of these new guys who had never worn a Maple Leafs uniform i mean that was your chance to shine. You only get a first impression once and i think a couple of guys blew it tonight.

I am looking forward to the Montreal/Boston showdown tomorrow night. Should be an excellent game.

what does a Sabres fan have to look forward to in a given season? Nothing.

Exactly! Those guys needed to impress the guys who basically choose who gets to stay and who gets shipped to the Marlies.

I missed tonights game (work and dinner with a friend) so I have no clue what the score was. Apparently there are rumors that Savard might be out all season for Boston (recurring concussion symptoms).

Ahh..so Price stunk tonight..then they brought in Sanford, who seemed to prevent further damage for the rest of the game.

I dunno Jonno Pittsburgh is hurting this year now. Malkin is done for the year and Crosby will hopefully be back, but it's up in the air. Losing those 2 guys really hurts them down the stretch and into the playoffs.

My Leafs are only 8 points out of a playoff spot! Goddamn they suck soo much lol. I should listen to vicexsquad and become a Habs fan. I honestly see them winning another Cup before the Leafs do anyway.

Still can't believe how tight the West is. I mean 4 points is the difference between 3rd seed and 8th seed. Pretty crazy.

I don't mean to gloat but, 3-0!! FINALLY. I'm pretty sure that the Habs lost the game in Dec. against the Leafs.

PS: I don't think the Habs will win the cup for a long time. They might be doing well now, but every time they make it to the playoffs, they crap out/run out of energy and drive...
