i decided to drive my Cobalt to work last night as I haven't been driving it very much. So i leave a little bit early, stop at the old car wash and do a quickie wash, dry the car off and head for work... as I get close to the plant, there's a dead deer in the middle of the lane. I never see it until I am right on top of it. I crank the wheel to left and just fucking annihilate the ass end of that deer. BANG! BANG! So i wheel into the lot, get out the flashlight and lo and behold, there on my shiny, clean car is now deer hair, deer guts, deer ass and deer shit... all down the side of it.
i waste no time. I go for the detail kit in my trunk, wheel out the simple green and a shabby bath towel. One of the guys I work with is holding the flashlight while i wipe the deer matter off the car... got home at 6:30 this am and was out there washing my car.

i'm beginning to think my Cobalt is cursed.

Samarui, a deer took out my Honda Passport and I ended up with a Jeep. I consider it a sign from the Car Gods

I almost hit a flock of turkeys coming home from college today.

60MP/45zone
My reaction was like this:
1. Turkeys!
2. Will they cross in time so I don't have to slow down?
3. Nope!
4. Let's off gas.
5. If I let off the gas will they cross in time?
6. Nope!
7. Gotta Stop?
8. Yep!
9. Applies brakes
10. Brings car to smooth halt 20' well before the turkeys

Ceramic brakes + ABS + AWD is a quite excellent combination.

my brother and I were on the quads over the weekend coming back over this limited access road. I was on a 2002 Yamaha Warrior 350 going like hell and Jason was on a 2006 Honda TRX400 EX racer going like hell when POOF, this partridge pops up in front of him and damn near takes him off the quad. I damn near wrecked I was laughing so hard.

A week or so before that, I was out for a ride and came upon a gaggle of wild turkeys... they were in the road and I was going about 50+ on my Warrior... turkeys can fly. So, no dinner for me.

i think what pissed me off about the deer last night was the fact that I had just cleaned the damn car off... and then BANG! BANG!
