	So I bought this scanner for $10 and it includes everything still in the factory sealed plastic except the initial install software. I have looked high and low around the net and have called epson technical support and have only been able to find update software for it. Anyone have any ideas where I might be able to get a hold of it? I know its not a great scanner but for $10 I figured it was worth a shot. Thanks in advance for any advice you might be able to give.

	I think this is the exact scanner that I have. Will have to double-check at home. Send me a PM... I'm not sure if I still have the original software though, as I have always used it with SANE under Linux.

	Otherwise, just buy a copy of Vuescan. It's inexpensive and good.

	I found the software and I am surprised that I am getting decent scans out of something I picked up at a thrift shop for $10. I love the thrift store. Now I am going through years of negatives. Thanks

	heeyah! i just did the same, for 15$ with an epson perfection 4180! however, i had to search the net to get a driver that would allow me to run it on windows 7.. how did you eventually find it?
