Those who scored the highest were atheists and agnostics, as well as two religious minorities: Jews and Mormons. The results were the same even after the researchers controlled for factors like age and racial differences.

Well, the only ones I got wrong were, "what is ramadan?" and the other "when does the jewish sabbath begin"?, both of which I really dont give a shit about.

Details, details.... According to my beliefs, it doesnt matter what you know, its what you believe and how you live.

Having said that, people NEED to know what they believe in and why. It needs to have reason and purpose.

Great - agnostics and atheists are already insufferable and worse-behaved than the most zealous prosthelytizing Christian. This will give them more to feel smug about.

I mean, do you have an atheist on your facebook? See how they pick fights and arguments all the time and write war-and-peace length essays in spaces meant for quips?

No wonder they think they know more about religion and think they are better educated, they argue about religion all the time. They gather facts just to use them as ammo for arguments.

Atheists should at least behave better.

Only got 13 and 15 wrong, I had no idea who started the great awakening or who the protestant dude was...

Kind of sad most people only got 50% right, most of these questions seemed pretty straightforward to me.

The only one I got wrong was the Jonathan Edwards one, and I think it's just because I was so annoyed by "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" when I read it in high school that I was subconsciously trying to snub him.

I got 12 but should've gotten 14, typo on the Josesph Smith one and I just didn't see Martin Luther's name, wtf? Anyway, I thought Hinduism's goal was Nirvana? I didn't think Buddhism was a religion.

You're right, but I think culturally it's important to know about them. Well, probably not so much in OK, but here in Cleveland I know to avoid the street where the Islamic center is on Friday afternoons!
