Selling a car on Kijiji/Craigslist. The latest fail was some guy who was going to for sure buy it for two weeks, asked questions, etc etc we agreed on a price and a date and he wanted it without a doubt. Confirmed two days before the pickup date, Sat at 8am. 12 hours before he is supposed to pick it up he says he has to back out because insurance is higher than he thought.

IS THIS NOT THE FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN LOOKING AT A CAR?!

When I bought that car I got quotes two weeks before I bought it. Quotes are even available online without leaving your house or using a phone!

I don't even want to relist the car after months and months of this bullshit even if my dad wants to scrap it. It's my beloved first car that I've had for 6 years, but I'm just SO tired of this crap. It's a $500 car, not a fucking mortgage.

And dealing with this involves driving from Toronto to Peterborough. Grrrrrr...

what kind of car is it?

and $500 is too much? Damn. Unless the car is bubble-gum'd and bondo'd together, that's a steal.

It's the insurance this specific guy was bitching about. But in general, people expect a perfect car for this price. I say right in the ad it needs minor body work. It's rotting. But it runs great and after it sat for two years I drove it all over Ontario in August when my Jetta broke. No troubles. Has bondo in it on one of the rear quarter panels but Civics rot out like fuck back there so it's not unusual.

It's not the most beautiful car there is, but it's a good little car. Bandi drove it for the first time when we were at my parents' last week to get it ready for this buyer and he loved it even though he kept telling me it needs to go - he finally understands hehe

Yeah why shouldn't a 56 year old man be allowed to frequent a kids forum???

Heh, in my case it was "why shouldn't a 17-year-old be allowed to frequent a forum populated mostly by middle-aged men?"

Thanks for parking right on my bumper this morning. Never mind the car in front of me had an acre of space in front of it. Never mind that you could have spared me a few inches and still been far enough away from the intersection to be legal. It's fun trying to wiggle a full-sized pickup out of a space barely large enough for a Fiat. Know that it's a 12-year old, nearly 200k beat-up dying-trans truck and I couldn't give a single fuck if it gets another tiny scratch on it. If we traded paint because you had to touch bumpers with my truck, so be it.

Next up, you, the supposedly "anonymous" troublemaker. Leave my friend alone. He's stated multiple times he has no interest in dating you, and would still be your friend if you weren't such a drama queen. He's happy in his current (monogamous) relationship. Sorry you can't keep your legs shut long enough to form a meaningful relationship. Don't go trying to homewreck others. Get a fucking life and personality and maybe you'll find people wanting to enjoy your company. Don't drag others into your special brand of crazy. You want to know why no one talks to you anymore? Because you're a fucking batshit attention-whoring, drama-mongering, home-wrecking, 8 shades of crazy slut. Don't whine to me, either, because I told you ages ago to lose my phone number and forget I exist.

And that was all before noon. Also on my bitch list for today was finding out one of the guys who was supposed to be working with me to get rid of all this scrap decided to talk shit about me to the boss. Fortunately the boss told him to stuff it and GTFO, but it still grinds my gears.

Then traffic on the way home. I swear to everything, if I ever make headlines for going on a murderous rampage, traffic will be the tipping factor. Sonuvabitch, you drooling mongoloids, learn to fucking drive! And get off your goddamn cellphone already before I cram it up your backside. See above comment about busted truck and not giving a fuck.

THIS. THIS THIS THIS.

It is 17km from my apartment to my work. It varies from 45mins to AN HOUR AND A FUCKING HALF to drive those 17km. Not to mention it kills the fuel economy of my diesel Jetta. And no one knows how to turn their lights on at night, use their turn signal, look before they change lanes, decide to drive in a lane two lanes over cause it's faster then cross all the lanes at the last second to merge onto the Allen expressway, etc.

I couldn't take a job in TO for that sole reason. I'd murder someone. You have mighty patience for dealing with it. Kudos!

Tonight, by fluke, I noticed water trickling out of a light switch in my wall, which goes down to a plug with a few things in it. Called the condo people, left a msg. Emailed them. Called their "emergency line" which isn't activated. Huh. Well then, thanks for the help assholes! Oddly enough when I had my home inspection there was something noted about the roof tile - common element MF's. Piss me off while I'm quitting smoking when stressed? HAHAHA R-U-N!! (I have a temp shutdown of my fuze box for that wall and re-routing of wires etc (thanks Logtec!!<3). This is when solo home ownership sucks shit.
