I'm pissed because I have to sell my ultra-comfy, super-reliable boat of a car because I can't afford to feed it $600 in gas every month. I just know I'm going to end up buying some POS Volkswagen that ends up crapping out on me 2 months later.

Why wouldn't you get a Civic or a Tercel or something if you want economy and reliability?

Seriously; reliability pwns economy if the econo car is not reliable, and if you can cut back and drive less and take public transit skate board etc. I've always like VW's, sadly they are not always the most reliable, but you could do worse.

Thanks to the engine computer blowing in my SHO Taurus, I now own 2 cars that have little hope of running, and owe money on both of them.

Haha, I wish it was that cool. Its a 1986 Pontiac Parisienne. Power everything, very comfortable, nice stereo, starts every time, crosses flooded roads like a boss (pic related). Bought it for $600 a year ago, put $300 in parts into it, save for oil changes and air filters, I've racked up 50 thousand clicks's without any maintenance. But I'm going broke paying for gas, so it has to go. Thus, I am pissed.
