My son (9) asked about a bow and arrow for Christmas. I thought it was a cool idea as opposed to another fucking video game or a computer. Kinda manly. Problem is, I'm a soft-handed academic who doesn't know shit about bows and arrows (though I have suffered the slings and arrows this life has thrown my way). We live in a small town where hunting is kind of a big deal; I think it would be cool if he took this up.
