Inova has a good reputation, but I've never used one myself. How'd you manage to get a free one?

Friend owed me a favor/cash. He knew I was a flashlight nerd so he offered his up and I accepted it. Sturdy construction, waterproof, dunno if it's submersible but I'd like to think so, seems sealed really
well

I had an X03. Good light, but there are much better lights out there for the price. That goes for all of the Inova line.

One thing to note, for better or for worse, Inova is now owned by Nite Ize, the same guys that made MagLite mods cheap and readily available.

Hmmm thanks form the info. Where do I get 123s in bulk cheap? Dx? I'd prefer not to buy shitty ones that don't last, Tia

The DX ones are okay, but aren't quite cheap enough for what they are. I would look at batteryjunction.com or 4sevens.com, both of which have decent, cheap primary cells. If you want rechargeables, 4Sevens sells the AW brand ones, which would be the way to go.

I had ebay RCRs. They worked okay for about a year, then started having serious capacity issues. I know the charger they supplied was garbage, but I typically expect more than about 8 months of useful life out of 2 sets of cells.
