Just because I'm looking forward to responses more interesting than mine.

Learned to drive in a 1997 Toyota Camry, learned to drive stick in a 1984 Toyota Tercel. Actually, I learned how to use a clutch in an old Komat'su forklift, but it only had one forward gear.

Same here. Any the parents wonder why it was having transmission problems (automatic) after I stopped driving it. Didn't matter, younger brother totaled it. Now I don't feel too bad.

1989 Dodge Caravan

However, I took my drivers test in a 1995 Nissan Altima.

Fun fact: I originally failed my road test because I didn't look or slow down on railroad tracks. I pointed out the reason why is that those railroad tracks were disconnected from the mainline years ago with no active service on them for the whopping 1 mile and that every car passing through never slows down and looks down them. Not even school buses slow down!. He first didn't agree with me but I spoke to his supervisor who said I was right and I got my license.

Its federal law that states as part of USDOT funding must require school buses to stop at ACTIVE railroad crossings; some states such as NY, MA and PA wrote the law as referring to all railroad crossings regardless of their current usage.

Starting at age 8, I learned to drive on one of these -

1948 Ford tractor (ours was all red)

Then at age 13 I started training in these -

1978 Buick Century Station Wagon (It was solid white and I ended up owning it later in life. The one pictured is a '79)

1984 Chrysler K Car (It was gold in color)

Later I learned to drive a stick in these -

1987 Hyundai Excel (It was solid silver)

1980(approx) GMC Box/Straight truck (It was all white. The one pictured is a 90 something)

My parents had a K car. It went almost 200,000 miles but it was pretty ragged out. My sister used to call it the "Fred Flintstone Mobile" because it was so slow you could peddle it along faster with your feet.

The high school used a Cobalt 4-door for drivers ed., otherwise I drove my Fiero and my mom's 03 Grand Prix, mostly the Fiero. Aced my driving test in the Fiero.
