Fast food chain Chick-fil-A has decided to give financial support to a series of conferences being held in Pennsylvania called “The Art of Marriage.” The decidedly anti-gay conferences are being sponsored by Chick-fil-A and the Pennsylvania Family Institute, which is the state’s largest anti-gay group.

This is the second time Chick-fil-A has supported the work of an anti-gay group. In 2009, Change.org reported Chick-fil-A had supported Focus on the Family, an extremely vocal and powerful group whose mandate includes reparative therapy programs and giving major support to campaigns that want to pass anti-gay legislation.

Sam, I don't hate anyone. If anyone has anger and hate issues, look in the mirror friend. Sorry, but I don't like seeing people being bullied into having to like or accept others ideas or lifestyles. If Chicky wants to do this, then more power to them. If its a bad idea, they will suffer. If its a good idea, they will prosper. Let the market sort it out.

And I thought I was the idealist! That didn't work too well in the '50s. It took the army to integrate the south, if you recall. The market won't do anything, because most people are too apathetic to care what a company does, as long as they can watch American Idol and buy cheap Chinese crap.

Chick-fil-a never said it wouldn't serve gays, so I don't see what the big deal is. It's just another reason for me not to eat there, besides their shitty food.

My answer is still the easiest-get government outta the marriage business. Remove the mandated bennies (and drawbacks) that the Feds and states and courts have erected to control and promote a religious ceremony. Give it back to the churches and they can marry whoever they want.

Oh, and yes, this is part of my master plan for getting rid of the 501(c)3 religious exemption. Someone was wondering...
