Doesn't have to be one car chasing another. The car can be chasing anything.

I always liked the two big chase scenes from McQ with John Wayne. What cracks me up though is that in the one scene where he is chasing the Laundry Truck in the Firebird, the little shortcut he used to get ahead on I-5, the two exits don't exist anymore on that section of I-5 thru Seattle!

The Italian Job ('03) with the mini coopers in the storm drains was pretty good.

The 2003 version of the Italian Job was pretty terrible in comparison to the original.

Gary Davis drove the Porsche and Cary Loftin drove the Ferrari. Cary Loftin was 70 years old at that time!

I've never seen Ronin, but those chase scenes are incredible.

Dirty Mary and crazy Larry. And how about the original Gone in Sixty Seconds.

This may sound dorky, but how about Smokey and the Bandit?

All three are awesome.... the original Gone in 60 was probably the worst movie ever made, until it gets to the chase scene... then all is forgiven.

The Smokey and the Bandit sequels were pretty awful, but part one was a classic.

Not dorky to me. It's one of my all time favorites. I put the "East bound and down" video in my first post because it's some what of a compilation. There are so many chase scenes in that flic that it's almost impossible to show them all.

You inspired my memory, cr400.

Not a chase scene, but probably one of the best stunt scenes ever made.

Gator (Sequel to White Lightening) had a decent chase or two as well.

Gator McLusky? Loved the shaky puddin'

I remember a stock car movie from the 70's, about a shine runner/dirt tracker going pro nascar, cant remember the name.

cannonball run......had some good stuff in it.

You guy's might be to young for this............Look up Robert Mitchum in Thunder Road. Early 50's hot rod, shine runnin'. Great old hot rod flick!!

Possibly "Greased Lightning", made in '77 and starring Richard Pryor? I tried to find videos of it the other night, but there doesn't seem to be any online.

I remember Thunder Road and started to post it on here. However, after watching it again, the driving scenes were so corny (fake backgrounds, etc.) that I couldn't bring myself to post it. Still a great movie and the driving scenes taken from outside the car were awesome. The scenes from inside the vehicle are really bad though.

I haven't seen Thunder Road in 25yrs or more.........Even the original star wars seems corny to me now.......Why would thunder road be any diff, I think I must remember the sound of that old ford?

I don't remember Richard pryor being in my old dirt tracker movie? I wanna say Robert Redford???? Gary Busy??? I don't remember it being a comedy.

How about Stroker Ace?
