Beers you can't get any more

A recent event spurred me to start this thread. Friday evening, I went to the local Liquor Mart to pick up some beer for a party. Here in Winnipeg, we have a pretty good selection of imported beers, and I'm particularly fond of several belgian beers. I went to grab my favourite, Trappistes Rochefort 10, but it wasn't there! I then checked for the next best thing, Gulden Draak, and found it missing too. Settling for La Fin Du Monde, I went to the till, and asked about the beers. Apparently they're no longer stocking them!

What beers did you once enjoy but can no longer find?

That's preposterous! I just bought me some trappistas rochefort 10 the other night, and had Golden Draak about a month or two back as well! Im still looking for the last Trappistas I have yet to try, there is a version that the monks make for themselves that is not mass produced, incredibly hard to find =(

The LCBO in Ontario won't carry Delirium Tremens because of the name.

That might by why they no longer carry it here too! More and more, the imported beer section is filling up with lagers.

Fortunately I've been able to find it at a restaurant or two. Also had one from a bottle in San Francisco, but that's a long way to travel for Belgian beer.

They dont carry Crystal Skull either, for an equally stupid reason; "skulls are bad, and kids will buy it because it comes in a glass skull". This is dumb, since Crystal Skull is cost prohibitive for the shoulder-tapping set.

Fortunately, Delirium Tremens is availabile in several places around my area. Just noted a place on the weekend that has it on tap.

EDIT: Pretty sure it was on tap. I wasnt drinking it, i stuck with Boris Org, and Hobgoblin for the night. Pretty sure Archer was drinking it from tap. It was a good night, so recollections are a tad fuzzy. The Town Crier, John St. between King and Queen, Toronto.

Almost bought a bottle of Crystal Skull here the other day.

I miss Iron City Brew. Its brewed in Pittsburgh. Just can't get it all the way out here in Arizona. Also my neighbor brought back a beer called Karhu(?) from Finland last summer and gave me a 6-pack. Amazing stuff but cant find it anywhere. I checked all the specialty beer stores, but cant get it. Too expensive to ship. So now I wait for him and his family to take another trip back in a couple months.

Blah Blah Blah. Shut up and open the damn door.
