| | | GM Dealers Suck Ass! My friend needed lug nuts for his Pontiac Montana, they wouldn't sell them to him without the VIN number. He even had one of the lug nuts with him, they found the identical one in their stock... still wouldn't do it. Screamed about liability or some other bullshit. I wanted winter rims for my GMC Acadia. The Acadia only came with 18", 19", and 20" mags... no steel rims available. The Chevy Traverse (identical truck) came with 17" Steel rims on the base model. I attempted to purchase the Traverse rims from the GM dealer, and they refused because they claim they can't put Traverse rims on an Acadia (identical vehicle). I asked them to sell me the rims without installing them on my Acadia... the asshole parts guy said to me they could do that but first "please provide me with the VIN number for the Traverse you would like to purchase them for" Tried to purchase factory cross bars for the roof rack... "sorry sir your roof rack does not have a factory cross-bar available" I'm like, what the fuck, I had them on my last Acadia. He explained that he had the part number for the 2007, 2008, and 2009 GMC Acadia, but no part number for the 2010. Did it change? No, they are still the same but he would not sell it to me because if it came off the roof and someone found out that it wasn't 'rated' to be on a 2010 then he would be liable. The dealership in question for all above problems was... Ward Edmunds GMC in Huntsville, Ontario - They suck
I returned to the dealership where I bought the truck, 3 hours away in Brantford, and they sold and installed the steel wheels, tires, and cross-bars. No problems, even after I told them about the other dealership. That dealer is Forbes Brothers GMC in Brantford, Ontario

| | | I've owned many different brands over the years.... Volvo, Honda, Audi, Subaru, Dodge, and GMC When I was younger, before owning my own vehicles, I drove my parents cars... Oldsmobile, Geo, and Chevrolet When I worked for a service company I was provided with different vehicles... Dodge, GMC, and Chevrolet
Every brand has lemons, every brand has great vehicles. I've had a Honda that was crap, I've had a Honda that was fantastic. I've had a GMC that never went in for repair, but I've had another one that lived in the service department. One thing that is consistant... service the vehicle properly with oil changes, tune-ups, ect and it will be more reliable. Abuse it or ignore the service intervals and you'll regret it, does not matter what brand the vehicle.
