at 5am i set out for work in this fucking blizzard. I got 6 miles from my house and decided to pack it in. After almost sliding into two guardrails, a plow truck and an abyss-like ditch, I said fuck it, spun 180 and then tried to climb back up the mountain to get home. Missed a day of work due to the fucking snow... i need a 4x4.

Same... I drove out to get a coffee to check the roads out, came back home and my tire tracks were gone in my driveway after 10 minutes.

This morning all you could see was the driver-rear quarter panel and tire. Dug it out, and it actually started which surprised me because it hasn't run since last Friday.

nothing but truckage were moving today... guy in a Subie Impreza was turning around the same place I was and he had studded snows... it was a nasty kind of snow that you don't see here often.

it was about ground clearance and weight today.

but that was a good attempt at a burn, but you still failed...

nismo, if that really was the case why was the 15 in candiac closed, the 20 in boucherville, the 13 in lachine, the 640 in terrbonne, all sorts of pileups and quebec has a snow tire law. Its people like you that claim traction control, ABS and navigation systems should be manditory

I drove on the 13 today, more the once. It was not closed.

ABS, ESP, Navi is all useless

But I will stand by a good set of quality winter tires

ive been driving on used near bald barely legal snow tires for years, no need for "good" tires, just enough to stay legal.

and this morning the tunnel at the south end was closed for an hour
