Why are you asking this in the "Film Photography" private board? I'm pretty sure the Rebel XT doesn't use film.

And that camera is fine for taking any sort of picture if used correctly.

Seconded. That's a fine camera, and as with most cameras the results depend primarily on the photographer. I've played around with the Canon Digital Rebel series a bit and I'm impressed with their small size. Image quality ought to be excellent when properly used. What lens(es) are you considering for it?

The normal non-private photography forum is heavily digital-focused already. I'm not sure that there are digital photography forums or that they would be in any way necessary.

The inconvenience of film will actually force you to slow down, take your time and get the best shots possible while using the least amount of film. The most important part of this type of photography is not what camera you have but the patience you have to really take your time and study a shot before you take it. Film is really a much better way to learn than digital.

..... The rebel line is great though. I have one.
