| | | I take my annual solo up to the back country of Algonquin Park usually in late May or early June. This years trip was late May and the access point I had chosen had a washed out road, I kept hoping that it would be fixed and open in time but had to change my plans shortly before heading up. I ended up going in through access point #3, a spot I have been in through a few times and because of the late adjustment in booking, I had to stay on the same lake for all 3 nights. Here are the shots from this years trip, from way back in May Waiting for the MEC store in Barrie to open to grab some rope. Ready to go by ZensLens, on Flickr I love having my Jetta Wagon! | | | Posted by ZenCanadian Welcome to the thread JB!
| Thanks You have some gorgeous pictures! I try to get out at least twice a year. This year, went out 4 times, once every month this summer, plus September. Now that my parents have their camper, they will be out more often, and consequently, so will I. Went to Holly Rec in Michigan, then East Harbor, Mohican, and Indian Lake in Ohio. Didn't get up to Kelleys Island this year, which somewhat bums me out, but we plan to get up there once or twice next summer/fall. Mohican was probably one of the best times. Set up our tent about 10 ft from the river and fell asleep to soothing water sounds every night. Would be hot during the day, but around 9pm, cooled down to 65 degrees, perfect sleeping weather. We were in a mountain valley, so we'd have fog in the morning. Tons of gorgeous scenery, and had the river not been at flood stage, we could have canoed right to our campsite.
