All right, here's the situation:

I got this software when I was about 8 called Digital Blue PC Movie Creator. It included a kids' camera that was probably about 2 megapixels. It only recognizes this camera (which is on its last legs anyway). The only reason I still use it is because it has a stop-motion mode on it.

Is there a way to configure it so that it recognizes another camera plugged into a USB port rather than the shitty default one? I don't believe it's in the options.

im not a huge usb expert, unless you can get a hold of the source code for the app, likely not. probably programmed to recognize only a certain device class, and then probably only a certain device and vendor id; in turn the system would load the driver for said device, and allow the software to interact with it.

I know that there is a bit of a "toy cam" community out there. its completely possible that someone has written a separate set of drivers for it.
