Posted by jeepdave See, that's a huge gap with religion and science. We don't require proof to believe what we believe. We allow for faith, and I totally understand that science requires proof. You will never be able to prove religion using science because then it would not be religion requiring faith, it would be science fact.

Douglas Adams (an avowed atheist) made a similar point in the
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, except that he went one step farther and said that without faith, god is nothing and ceases to exist.
That blog that I am fond of re-posting stuff from did a series on free will. I didn't read the whole thing, but it basically said that free will is an illusion. I think it regarding more important decisions than whether to have a PB&J or a turkey sandwich for lunch. More like whether to kill someone or not. I can post a link if someone is interested.
