I have long lusted after a nice digital SLR, and now having finished college and started my career, it's time for me to get one (and also my current camera just bit the dust). I consider myself a camera novice, having always used relatively basic point-and-shoots, so I'm not looking for a really complex setup with a bunch of peripherals I can't even name or a plethora of lenses--I'd love just the body and a basic lens. I've been looking at Rebels mostly because I've used them before, and I do generally prefer Canon based on previous experience, but feel free to try to persuade me to another brand (nicely!) if you have something different to sell.

If anyone has a camera to get rid of and would be interested, I'd love to trade for website and/or graphic design...and I don't mean that "I took a course in color theory and I have a Mac so I'm a luh-git graphic designer" crap, I have a BFA in Fine Arts and I'm employed full-time as a designer; this would be quality work worth well over the value of most cameras. I'd also be willing to pay for the right camera, just thought I'd suggest trade first. Thanks!

Just wanted to say I'm still interested in this, if anyone needs design work. Nothing panned out last year and I've now resorted to taking photos with my phone. D:
