I thoroughly enjoy pulling in front of Priuses (I'm not calling them Prii, sorry) in my nozzled Jetta TDI, and just FLOORING it. It fogs them out in black diesel smoke. It's one of the best feelings in the world, because I'm still getting better mileage.

The Prius makes a GREAT race car. Just ask the NASCAR guys that are using them, and the NHRA guys that can't stop talking about them.

I passed a line of four priuses doing
50->90->50->90->50->90->50->90->50->90->50->90...downhill,uphill,downhill,downhill,uphill....

fu ckin' hypermilers in the far left lane. Completely letting off their gas downhill and slamming the gas uphill.

After following these mother fuckers for 10+ minutes I'd had enough so at the top of a big downhill, I moved over, then a gap opened in the lane next to me, I moved over, another gap opened up the next lane over, I moved over, then a gap opened in the slow vehicle lane and then I ended up taking a clear shot back across four lanes, topping out at 101MPH to get ahead of them as they began their ascent back up the hill.

For the record I wanted to cruise it at 75-80. But you couldn't do that in any lane because people kept cutting over into the other lanes to get around the Pious ass-hats, causing other vehicles behind them to slow down so I couldn't get ahead of them without drastic measures.

tl;dr: Four priuses, four lanes, 101MPH, no speeding ticket.

Take most cars around a 120 degree corner with a nice deep puddle or stream running across it at 70-80mph. Maintain control without braking or reducing speed entering it more than 10mph and come back out the other-side 5-10mph faster then you entered it.

Ideal conditions are boring, rainy days are my favorites because most sports cars can't keep up with me on the corners. WRX STIs, LGTs, 3500lb+ AWD sports cars (BMWs, Audis,) etc all get a notable exception. Even a WRX with no extra weight in the back is too light, my 3500 curb weight plus an extra 500 or so odd pounds cargo weight gives me the stability advantage by having a lot of mass low to the ground. Teh Legacy really is the non-sportscar king of wet roads.

I liked making Priuseseses speed up on the down hill. All it took was a mirror full of Freightliner grill. Suddenly 60mpg wasn't that important anymore.
