I can't decide if I agree with you that the people in the article are stupid or not. I feel like most of the people trading their PS3s in right now were never big fans of the system anyway, so they're not much of a loss to the customer base. The hardcore PlayStation fans (like myself) are keeping theirs and just riding it out. [And playing tons of New Vegas in the meantime, hahaha.] Unless the reconfigured PSN is fatally flawed, I'll be keeping my PS3 for online gaming until the next big thing comes out.

IMO, PSN being down is not a big deal, it hasn't affected (knock on wood) me yet, and I'll be getting some free stuff out of it.

Network should be up now, can someone confirm?

its been working for me, played KZ3 all night. and all morning

Last night it let me download the current update, then went back to the "down for service" message.....

theyve been turning different regions on and off all day. i guess too many ppl were logging in to change passwords and DL crap. But, whatta you expect? the system was down for 23 days, of course ppl are excited to log back in and update their systems.

since I can't get on yet - what are the five games we get to pick from?

I'm getting wipeout HD and Fury - is dead nation or infamous better?

I didn't like Dead Nation.

I didn't like LBP but I guess I might get it since it's free. I played the demo for Infamous and found it unremarkable. I'd also like to know if Dead Nation's any good, haven't heard anything about it but none of the other offers are appealing to me. Actually none of them are, period. But, eh.

Ratchet and Clank is only available in some regions.

I didnt like LBP, but I suppose I'll be getting it again.

Damnation is shitty but an easy Plat. look it up on youtube the graphics and gameplay are terrible.

all in all, im more excited about the movie rentals and PS + feature theyre giving us.

Infamous is pretty fun after powering up, it's worth a play-through but I doubt anyone has played it twice. It's a hit it and quit kind of game.

^That. And considering its been out a long time now and most people already have platinum.
