I have been Flickr Contacts with this guy for a while now, and I never thought of posting his photos here til just now. I feel like an idiot for this cause the guy posts his shots then pics of what he did to create the lighting and set up.

He uses things like Pringles cans and coffee cups as snoots and diffusers and has a homemade light table that produces amazing macro shots with stunning lighting. OK, it may not be exploration related, or steel wool, but I am sure everyone here can appreciate a guy that manipulates light in a cheap fashion.

Take a look at some of his sets and his tutorials on the equipment he uses on the cheap.

May not be directly related to urban exploration, but it is certainly strongly related.

I love cleaver ways of doing things cheaply. I'm always on the hunt for cheap outdoor / exploration related equipment and love finding something I can use at a thrift store or a garage sale.

I decided to try to do something sort of like this.

Got a desk lamp at Goodwill, a couple panes of glass at a home store, some gloss black spray paint, and a box that was white on the inside to reflect the light around evenly. I haven't used the clear glass on top yet so all I have to post so far are the reflection shots. Kind of fun though for less than $10 I have a little macro set up to mess around with in the garage when I am bored.

A few so far....

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

I gave you a damn ZOMBIE! Don't worry. Dinos shall come. I just need a few props. You can put dinos into everything. You know I will get them on that table.
