How are these things? I may swap my firebird for it if they are decent as far as reliability is concerned. You guys are my source for all things odd.

It will not die, how's that for an answer?

Also, on some of those there's a nut under the rear seat you can use to adjust the suspension height.

It's a neat car. You'll like it I think.

Guy is gettin skittish about trading, he doesn't like the mpg's of the Firebird, but I got some folks wanting to buy so I may sell and make the guy a off and try to get it cheaper. He said zero rust and that the AC works. Seems like a good deal.

Ya know Sam, I do transport vehicles for a living. If you wanna email the guy and work up a deal to swap the 'retta for the Subi, I can arrange moving things around.

Nonexistent here in the northeast. I haven't seen that generation of Subi's on the road in years. The engine long outlasts the body.

I haven't seen many Loyales here in the NW since like 1998...but a quick look on the Portland Craigslist shows 3 of them up for sale.

They are good cars that are loved. find one with little or no rust and you should be fine. There are a few Loyales, a few Brats, and even some Justys around where I live... since I moved WA all I see are old rust free cars since there is no salt! I saw an old Scirocco the other day, and there are lots of 70's Volvos and original Civics still running. Fuck road salt!

It really is. NickSan moved to Portland from NJ and has told me the number of "old runners" down there is just as good as it is in WA.

I see old Datsuns all the time, old Rabbits, VW Pickups, and Westfalias, El Caminos, BMW 2002's and 3.0csl's, Novas, 60's and 70's Buicks and Pontiacs... jeep woodies... but most aren't show cars like in the NE, theyre original runners.

For whatever reason, out here a pile of Omnis, Horizons, K-Cars, Shadows, etc, have been coming out of the woodwork. It's like people were storing them till gas prices got crazy.

I still have a few customers with old Rabbits.

i was almost killed by an old Rabbit (79 vintage). I think that's why I'd like one. Face death down again. My 79 Horomni was powered by VW as well.

Yup, because the old Chrysler Europe had a good partnership with VW. Chrysler Europe even made some components for VW during that time period.

my 79 Horizon was a mess... it had a VW engine, Peugeot transaxle and Citroen drive axles. It was incredibly hard to get parts for.

Well, I got my Subaru. For $900, even. Interior is cherry, runs like a
top. I'm happy.
