	Based on Samurai's (justified) rant about Rush not being nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I thought I'd start a thread to see which bands we think should be in the hall. The only criterion is that they are actually qualified (i.e., it's been 25 years since their first release) My votes: The Moody Blues King Crimson Yes Jethro Tull Phish New Riders of the Purple Sage David Nelson Dead Kennedys Non-musicians: Dan Healy (revolutionary sound guy for the Grateful Dead)

It's actually pretty cool. If you're ever in Cleveland, it's worth the trip. What sucks is that they don't let you take pictures.

	well when I first heard of the rock hall of fame... I wondered how non-rock people wound up in it.

	So the new inductees have been named. Opinions? Last night while doing dishes, I was thinking about some non-performers that should be in, and today I'm checking the list to see if they're in there. Here's a few I thought of: Jim Marshall (maker of the Marshall amp) James B. Lansing (speaker maker, namesake of JBL) Dan Healy & Owsley Stanley (revolutionary Grateful Dead sound guys) Jim Bornhorst (inventor of the Vari-Lite) Marc Brickman (lighting designer extraordinaire) Sidney Shure (microphone maker) Georg Neumann (microphone maker) I'm a sound guy, so I'm a little biased toward them.

	I dont know if there is a limit to how many bands and people get in annually... but some day I think maybe the roots deserve to be in there if anyone hip hop related would be nominated.
