Bing bing Harro Prease, I have recently started exploring all possible nooks and crevices of my wonderful city a couple months ago thanks to some willing and experienced explorers i have the pleasure of knowing. I have been on 10 different outings since then, including 9 different cave/tunnels sets, and 1 abandoned brewery/cave and tunnel system. I truly love doing this and it has sparked something in me that i never knew i had. I wish to continue to see more and more of my lovely state under and above ground, learn the history of said places, and meet people that share a similar sentiment while doing so. Sand, mud, dirt, sewage, water, wood, and steel here i come!!!

-Sasquatch/Big Sassy

Hi sasquatch I am new to this site as well as the twin cities area. looking to meet up with some locals and what not and do some exploring. the girlfriend and I have done some on our own, but we both think it would be fun with more people. she grew up in the tc and know SP really well but not so much mpls. I just think it would be useful for us, as noobs to urban exploring, to hook up with some of the more experienced people and members of the underground community(pun intended). anyway Ill keep it short, if this interests you, get in touch.

Hey I am Sodo Syco. I am not really psycho, It's just a nickname I got for doing something risky to save someone (I don't feel the need to brag so I am not sharing unless someone asks)

I like photography, gaming, reading, heavy metal and building things.

Hi everyone! I am Rashomon from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

You can also find me on Flickr and Ontario Abandoned Places

I started out about 6 months ago with some friends shooting a model (who is also a friend) in the Kodak Building in Toronto. Since then I haven't looked back ... I have been addicted since.

I claim to be from Toronto but I am really from Markham, a suburb of Toronto up in York Region ... HA HA ...

Feel free to contact me if you want to explore together sometime.

Cheers!

Hello, I am another new forum goer from the MSP area, (there seem to be a lot of us) I've been lurking with an account for a while now, and longer still without an account. Got into UE a few years ago and my interest has grown since.

Hey everyone, name's Paul. Been doing UE since I was young, but like a others here I didn't know there was a name for it, or that so many people has the same exploring 'bug' that I have. Currently I am in Kitchener/Waterloo area for a co-op/work-term as part of my university career. I'm excited to be part of the community here at UER and have been frequenting the site daily looking at everyone's new stories/photos, and I look forward to sharing my own.
Cheers.

Hello everyone!

I am from Toronto and have just found an interest in UE. After very casually checking out the forum, my friend and I decided to check out Linseed in the west end. Although I have discovered that the old factory is not exactly an impressive venture, it was thrilling to head out to a place and not know what to expect. Getting in was easy enough, but taking care to avoid being spotted, as well as being somewhere that has been so radically transformed by decay was very cool!

After that trip, my friend and I immediately began looking for other locations in Toronto. I'm looking forward to future explores and interacting with others in my local community!

Hey guys,

Stumbled across the site accidentally, and kind of disappointed I didn't discover it earlier. I've definitely always been a huge fan of exploring old buildings and wish I could have been part of a community doing it for longer. I actually stumbled upon it when researching an upcoming visit to another city, and now I'm getting really excited to get out and explore a whole new environment. Still getting accustomed to the layout of the site, but looking forward to participating more in the future. Hopefully will be able to post some pictures of the sites I end up visiting.

I've been an explorer since I was a little kid; I've always been naturally curious. I love exploring spooky and abandoned places and getting great pictures, whether I'm supposed to be there or not. I think it's a gene some of us are born with. I live near Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I participate in paranormal investigations sometimes, and the creepier a place looks, the more I want to explore it. I love to research old places as I think knowing the history makes them more interesting. I have also done a lot of caving in several states. I'm interested in exploring and photographing locations in Wisconsin. Also interested in metal detecting, gold panning, and archeology in Wisconsin. Love this website!

Hello! I'm Kimmy and live in Dallas. I love to go exploring with my husband and brother on the weekends. Our first official trip was to the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells and we were hooked! We've been out to Glen Rose and then some exploring in some small towns near Corsicana and East Texas.

I'm excited to be able to finally post and look forward to getting to know everyone!

I'm Flowers (I feel more comfortable using my nickname), and I'm from Chicago, IL. I haven't explored anywhere yet, but once I feel like I'm prepared, I really want to try some places around the city. What sparked my interest in UE is this hospital I used to go to a lot, and it kind of just closed and became abandoned. I found some photos of the inside on the internet, and it looked very interesting. I think It actually looked better abandoned than it did when it was open...

Hey guys, I'm Raine, or Storm if you know me by my main stuff around the internets. Obviously it's not my real name, but I'm sure you'd be able to find that easily enough as well. I'm just turning 16 this month and I live roughly an hour away from Allentown, PA. Technically my first exploration was the bottomside of a bridge in Philadelphia, around the corner from where I lived when I was real little. But actually my first exploration was just this past weekend.
UEing is the greatest thing I've ever gotten into. Just phenomenal... it's both a shame and a blessing people let buildings rot like they do.
I'm planning on posting pictures and my story up later, whenever I can. It was a fairly basic abandonment, but for my first I'm still stunned by it ^_^
But yeah! Outside of UEing, i kayak a lot during the summer, and play video games when the weather is bad. I also dig music. I love all things music.

Been lurking this site for a while. Can't wait to help contribute instead of watching everyone else contribute

Hello, I am new to the site and UE as well. Definitely not new to the interest, but I've never had the courage to do this by myself and the few friends I have either aren't into this or would be up to going, but only because they wanted to 'do something crazy' and probably would end up in a horrible night. I myself am drawn into the desire of UE for the fact that I find it to be fascinating and simply beautiful. I think it's amazing that these buildings stand for so long, and sit abandoned, but at one point in time they were filled with people and active. It's hard for me to explain it and put it all into words, but it's something that makes me happy thinking about and gives me chills at the beauty and history that these places have. I always joke to my friends that while they're busy ranting about wanting glitz and glamour all I ever want and ask for is rust and asbestos. haha.. I hope I can meet some people that share this interest and wouldn't mind me exploring with them. I plan on going to an event being held in November here in Atlanta and would be great to meet some explorers. Hopefully they won't chase me away and are welcoming to new comers.

Hello! Im new to UER, but not to the UE Scene. Ive met several of the members here, and decided it was time to join the fun. I hope to have a lot to contribute, and learn from everyone here. Ive been exploring for 3 years, have traveled to 11 states, and seen things that have blown my mind. I hope to inspire new explorers and continue to be inspired by those who came before me. Hi, I'm Cass. Just looking for a good start to UEing. I don't know too much other than the basics. I've never explored and I need some good starts, so if you live in Portland or Eugene I'd love to get a meetup arranged.
