Hi everyone. I'm TooBadd, In my 40's and I live in Ann Arbor area but work in the Detroit area. I've been to quite a few spots but most my interest have been places I can bike to and in (tunnels are my favorite right now) But I'm also into climbing (and descending) Hope to make some friends here to share areas with. Anyone who is in the Detroit Area would like to PM and we can chat and I'd love to meet up with some of you!
Thanks

Hello everyone! Reverend Doktor Faux here! I've been exploring Central Florida since 2005, right after Xanadu was demolished.

I'm an amateur film-maker, and urbex seems like a really awesome way to explore and experience cities like Orlando without dropping hundreds of dollars on tickets. I used to work with Universal Studios, I know a ton of secrets about that place. I have friends in Disney Security, so I don't go out there much. Don't crap where you eat!

I ride a motorscooter everywhere, which makes it harder and easier to get to some places. If you've got an extra seat in your car, why not give me a buzz?

I'M SO GLAD THIS EXISTS! I love going through abandoned spaces. I thought it was a challenge at first to find an empty space in Los Angeles, but once I became homeless it was the difference between sleeping on the street or under a roof. Now I'm pretty good at spotting them out and sneaking in. I also love sneaking through busy spaces like Hotels n such. I totally can't wait to start sharing. I totally need a better camera though.

Hey... I'm a little late in doing this and have already ruffled some feathers but here goes nothing.... I LOVE URBEX! Been into abandonments for over ten years. I got started in Germany. I'm not a photog, but if and when I do have a cam I always look for the more interesting subjects to shoot. I love finding a place and then researching it and seeing all the old pictures of people who once roamed the halls or worked there, I find it fascinating. I'm always open to the idea of sharing or showing a location I know of if there's someone who's genuinely interested in URBEX. OK... I've rambled long enough. Feel free to pm me if you got a question.

Hello! Just call me Harry. I have been rarely going on Urbex over the years, and I had only learned that it was called Urban Exploration only a year ago. But I'd like to get more into it since I feel like I want to try things that I always have found interesting in life, but could never seem to do. I hope to make friends with many people of this community, see y'all on the boards!

Hey,
I'm Joe. I live in Western New York. I have explored some of the standard spots in the area: Central Terminal (before the started renovating), the grain mills, Rochester subway, etc. I haven't really joined the UE "community" because I like the anonymity of the exploration. But I'm looking to branch out... because I'm trying to find new "old" places to explore.

Also, two years ago, I found myself in southern Texas. I went and explored a ghost town called "Frio Town." I have a bunch of pictures. Since it's on private property, and still there, I don't know if it's in the DB. I'd like to become a full member, but I don't know that I'll meet the posting minimums. I'll post the pics to a new thread, if a full member can add the site to the DB.

Thanks,
Stay safe, stay hidden...

Hey all!

I'm Ana. I'm new to the forums, but sorta kinda not new to urbex stuff. I got into it while doing the whole geochache thing. I'm now in the Atlanta area and travel a lot for work, and get really bored seeing the same sights in the cities I go to.

Hope to be a somewhat active member. I love taking pictures of old things. But I also fail at chatting on forums. I also enjoy drinking.

Not really a new member, I forget when I joined this site but it was probably quite a long time ago. However, I have never been active on here. I currently live in Ottawa, Canada and have not really done much exploration myself. Lately I have been trying to improve my photography and often go on late night walks with my camera and tripod because I enjoy how quiet it often is and how few people are around to bother me. I love industrial sites, architecture, old vehicles, and creepy forests and cemeteries. Hopefully I can find a few interesting locations on here, learn from a few people and maybe take some decent photos that I can post.

Heya!

I am a twenty one year old female that has recently settled down in Alabama. I have always been intrigued by the sight of urban decay and fascinated by the untold stories left behind. I have explored a few places while I lived in Florida, and have recently started exploring Alabama with a buddy. I would love to be shown around more of Alabama, and am always up for meeting new people / making new friends. I hope to find more like minded people in my region to go exploring with, on this site, as well as share my experiences with those of you who live elsewhere!

Hey all!
I'm KWboy (Dan) from you guessed it, KW! Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario.
Very cool site, looking forward to being a full member so I can use the full features of the search engine.
I went to a gathering in Toronto with some members last Saturday October 20th. Was cool to hear some of the stories and to meet other members. We attempted to go into an old waste disposal place downtown but they had made it more challenging to get in so we passed which was disappointing.
Anyone in my area please don't hesitate to get in touch and if anyone can recommend any great places to explore please do!
Cheers

Here is a little sample of what I did in 2009.

Hey there everyone!

I'm new to this website. I joined a couple months ago but am finally having a proper moment to introduce myself to everyone here.

I'm based out of Oakland. Ca. and have been doing urban exploring for a couple years now and photography for the past 5 years and I don't ever see myself stopping either. There is nothing I love more than being in an abandoned space. I have three main passions: Urbex/Street Art/Stolen Moments. I am definitely interested in meeting some Urbexers in my area and doing some serious exploring in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.

You can find my work on:

My website: pixelinaphotography.com
Instagram: @pixelina

Very much looking forward to see what this community has to offer and what I can give back as well.

Best to all,
Pixelina

P.S. I tried to post a pick but I have no idea how to link it

Hey everyone, BCphotos here based in the heartland! There are two of us, James and Sean, who will be using this account. We have little experience in urban exploration, but we hope to learn the ins and outs and start producing some quality images!

Look forward to getting to know some of y'all

No way! I wish my parents were like that! Hahaha, the minute I mentioned the abandoned railroad nearby our house, my parents immediately demanded I stay away.
I went anyway.

anyway, as for resizing photos, last time I used this (http://www.shrinkpictures.com/) site to shrink them. It's a bit tedious, but it works. Flickr is probably your best bet, however. It's a great file hosting site and it deals with resizing the photos.
You could also resize them in GIMP or Photoshop. They also cover any editing you'd do as well.

Welcome to the site!

Hey now!
I'm Scott and I live in downtown Atlanta, so I feel a bit sheepish that its taken me so long to discover urban exploration with the sheer abundance of places to see here! @snafu375 let's meet up sometime, Nathan!
The aesthetics of decay are hugely appealing to me, but my favorite aspect of exploring is imagining the people that used the site and all the stories that are hidden within.
I ride a bike almost 20 hours a week, so stopping to check out places I find along the way has been an amazing way to break the monotony of training. Also, you don't have to look for parking!
I'm also very impressed by the people I've met locally in the community. Respectful of people and places, and with a fine eye for beauty. I was at first put off by the secrecy/lack of trust, and just wanted everyone to take him(or her)self less seriously. I quickly realized the error of my ways - especially my naïveté about the willingness of a lot of people to ruin a good thing. Besides, secrets are fun!
OK, done rambling - cant wait to meet y'all
