I think I saw it around once however its REALLY alpha and in its current stage, its still pretty much XP. Probably should wait a bit closer to release.

everywhere i go to try to get it the link is broken, even if it is alpha i would still like to toy around with it, i mean i do have a fucking 70gb partition that im using for nothing.

What is this longhorn thing?

Its the early stages of the next microsoft windows, the new alpha builds are being leaked, i got my hands on it but i cant find the cdkey for it.

It's officially been named Windows Vista. Fucking lame.

1) It's beta. Has been for 1000 builds or so ;).

2) It's EASY to find. I mean it's FUCKING PLASTERED everywhere.

I found more than 50 copies in 5 seconds without even booting a p2p program and that includes the google search for "torrent search" in case you really didn't know where to look. Search before asking.

3) The name isn't sure yet, Vista (the company) is sueing Microsoft.

4) Not functional? Sure, the Add/Remove Windows Components doesn't work, no Run DLL32.EXE shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL appwiz.cpl tricks; but you CAN access it with the command line... Other than that, you can usually use any program or driver that would work with XP?

5) Serial? Search for "longhorn" at http://serials.ws/index.php - How about one of those 40+ serials? Finding the WPA crack to nuke the timelimit is just as easy.

heh, yeah i got a copy of alpha 4072, like right after i posted that thread. anyway maybe ill check out a new build.

Hunh? Vista is from Latin, videre, and has to do with "visual awareness", so to say. It's only a fancy word about all the GUI fanciness, maybe you meant that because 6 is VI in Roman numerals?

Erm, second choice there man. The VI thing is what I meant. I saw this at 2am on a Pulse24 rerun. Seemed like a rational idea when I saw it.

No... so far its just a more bloated version of XP with added security and anti-piracy measures (IMHO).

You can already run Linux under windows using either CoLinux or QEMU.

I have a copy of SuSE 9.2 and KNoppix that, if put in a windows machine, will instantly autorun and boot into suse in a window...
