Not my automotive cup of tea, but time machines like this thing are cool to see.

'86 Celebrity... 36,000 km, one owner, yet to see a winter.

LOOK AT THIS THING!

I didn't get any uderhood shots, but the 2.8 looked like it was a fresh crate motor, yet it was untouched and original.

It had that weird crossflow style intake like Fieros and Firebirds had, too.

Reminds me of a family that lived next door to us when i was a kid. Total Rosanne copy cat family. They drove one of those, and a sedan version. Good memories.

How the hell does it have 36,000 km on it? That means it drove 1440 km a year only...

If you saw it in person, you'd believe it.

I would imagine it had been stored for quite a while.

I had an '85 with the carbureted 2.8. It was baby shit brown and slow as hell. I could fit an army in it though.

On a related note, I ran across a celebrity with a 4 speed manual on ebay a while ago... pretty rare.

I remember riding backwards in the trunk of my neighbour's blue one as a 5 year old... facing the cars following us and making faces at them.

Oh, memories of the "wayback" seat.

I failed finding a list of cars that used to have a wayback. Any ideas?

Definitely the old full size wagons. Parasiennes, Caprices, etc.

Is there any reasonable way to make those full size pigs actually handle? I've always (secretly) wanted to have a sleeper caprice wagon. Wood grain and wire spoke wheel covers and all.

Haha, I used to ride in that seat in my family's 1991 Volvo 740 GLE wagon. Talk about low and slow.

They sold it for $250 or so back in 2008 due to major engine issues.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

There are a few people on the Grassroots Motorsports board that have gotten Caprice wagons to handle. Might want to check that out if you're really interested in it.

PM me if you want to get join our board and get fit!
