Actually... very true. The most fun car I've ever driven was a '73 914 with a built 2.0 (actually a 2.3 or 2.4 at this point), with a really aggressive cam, nickasil barrels, twin Webers, Weltmeister headers/muffler and a 911S brake conversion (with 5 bolt Fuchs, of course)... it was like a go kart, halfway through a corner you could punch the gas and the thing would just carry you through, sliding, but totally in control.

Actually, on a Porsche 914 all the fuel injection wires are white.

Funny you should mention that, as at the same time I was converting 124 to RHD. I also did this one and a few others:

Put some extra rubber on it, and two sequential turbo, and you've got a regular track beast. Neko.

I rode in a flared out (and very reinforced) 914 with a Nascar (ew) specification 350 "bowtie block", boosted, mated to a built Boxster tranny, with massive brakes from a newer 911

It didn't have a speedometer, but I think that's the fastest I've ever gone in a car. Or at least it felt like that.

While the above was a 6-cylinder beast, that sounds like a fucken monster! Neko.
