Yeah same here. Kinda sad that there aren't too many amazing movies out lately, but at least there is still something to look forward to.

I gotta admit, Charlize looks pretty good in that blue suit.

I couldn't help myself and started googling plot lines/spoilers for this movie

Didn't find any, but did find 2 damn good fakes that are written like excellent fanfiction

If reading Alien-related stuff is your thing go find 'em. Just be aware there might be some truth in there and would be a spoiler.

abandoned subway turned into Prometheus set:

http://io9.com/591...-set-of-prometheus

An abandoned French subway station was turned into the set of Prometheus
We now live in an era when gonzo viral marketing runs the risk of being more intriguing than the film it's designed to promote. In Paris, the Saint-Martin stop (which has been unused for 73 years) on the Metro's Line 9 was transformed into the extraterrestrial architecture of Prometheus, giving passengers a glimpse of Gigeresque Hell on their daily commute. I hope this set sticks around for years, an artifact of film promotions past, sort of like the Space Jam website.

I've been very excited for this one for a hile

Looks like much more of a return to the hard-sci-fi-thriller that the first two were. Was a little disappointed when rumors about James Cameron being involved were discounted early on

Film has already been released in Europe to good reviews.

The entire plot summary is on wikipedia

Neat!

And it looks like the trailer for Life of Pi (one of my favorite books!) will be shown along with it—also neat:

Holy fucking balls what a beautiful movie. If you can see it in imax 3d absolutely do so! The movie was weird as hell, but overall very enjoyable. At worst it was better than Resurrection I would definitely see it again.

I really liked it. The visual style was wonderful, and it built up well. The last part seemed to be scripted by someone entirely different and it kind of sucked, but overall I enjoyed it a lot.

I had high expectations for this movie and pretty much all of them were let down. The only things worth mentioning is the cool use of technology and the graphics. The Rest of the movie was pure garbage, nothing made any sense, none of the characters were worth two shits and the plot had more holes than Swiss cheese. There is no reason to see this movie; pure and utter shit.

An interesting article my friend sent me. Contains spoilers, but explains things (and Space Jesus):

Edit: Also, I had no expectations. Probably why I enjoyed it. I feel like if you have too many expectations, it clouds you from the ability to enjoy something completely new or different. This movie was definitely different.

Thanks for that, good info! Saw it yesterday and enjoyed the hell out of it. I want to see it one more time in the theaters just for the visuals and also for the 5 minutes I missed going to the restroom lol.

Personally, I liked it. I didn't think anything was really that hard to understand besides the space-dudes' change of heart, but I suppose that was meant to be ambiguous. Also saw it in IMAX 3D, so the spectacle alone made it enjoyable as hell. All in all, good movie.
