Subwoofer Installation

Hey guys, I'm getting my first car on the 23rd. Its a 2008 Ford Escape. My mom bought a sub-woofer for her car, got sick of it and gave it to me I'm just wondering if I can install it myself or will have to pay to get it installed, if so where and how much it might be.
Keep in mind I know nothing about cars.

As I see nobody wants to answer this for you I guess I will. First off you need to have a power cable from your battery ran to the amp on the back of your sub box, along with a ground cable to some place in your trunk and remote wire from your deck. If your using a factory deck with your amps it makes things more difficult and I haven't ever done that. You also need a set of RCA's ran from your deck back to the amp. Those plug into those two red and white holes on your amp. Again, this is difficult if your car has a factory deck not a aftermarket one.
