That`s a good question Bandi? I asked the same question when i found out it has a liquid cooled alternator that was 1000 bucks and something like 6 hours to change. WTF

PCV systems are SO well sealed on modern engines that the slightest bit of oil sludge can can vents to plug, causing the crankcase to try sucking in air through all sorts of odd places (crankshaft seals, oil cap, etc). I'd assume it's to keep the system from sludging up and causing sadness caused by a plugged PCV "valve" (they aren't really valves so much anymore as a complex vent system that makes the air/oil flow in a VERY specific manner)
