Why the hell does BMW need an oil separator? Are they cooling the hot oil with water or something?

That`s a good question
Bandi?

I asked the same question when i found out it has a liquid cooled alternator that was 1000 bucks and something like 6 hours to change.
WTF

Escalades really havent aged well, hard to believe an 80 000 dollar truck in 2003 or 2004 can be found for as low as 8000 grand. Alot of of the escalades and tahoes I've seen all have dead wheel bearings and fried window switches.

oddly enough, my brothers' Tahoe has held it's value well. They bought it because they had a large family and awful driveway. They traded in an 02 Monte Carlo for this thing. My beef with the Tahoe is the awful mileage.

PCV systems are SO well sealed on modern engines that the slightest bit of oil sludge can can vents to plug, causing the crankcase to try sucking in air through all sorts of odd places (crankshaft seals, oil cap, etc). I'd assume it's to keep the system from sludging up and causing sadness caused by a plugged PCV "valve" (they aren't really valves so much anymore as a complex vent system that makes the air/oil flow in a VERY specific manner)

At the Cleveland Auto Show last year the Fiat models were jaw-droppingly hot.
