Hi, errybody.

Let's see... I'm 25, of the male persuasion, currently living in northern Colorado. I'm also a grad student, Air Force officer/nuclear missile guy, and generic geek. I'm gay, I play a lot of video games, and train at parkour and martial arts when I get the chance

I got into UE back when I was stationed in California - my parkour group ended up travelling through an area of San Luis Obispo called "The Deep Dark" - essentially, you can follow the San Luis Obispo creek underneath a bunch of buildings downtown. And if you're so inclined, you can also climb from there up into some storm drains and places like that. Anyways, that was my intro to UE, I loved it and want to start getting more into it.

Hey, I'm Jon from the east coast of Virginia. My first love of exploring is roaming wooded areas looking for abandoned things. Farmers used to use the woods as trash sites, so there can be some interesting cars, boats, campers...just about anything...where it doesn't belong! Some of the wooded areas in Virginia were once the ocean floor, meaning you'll find ancient sand dunes and fossilized coral reefs that are 3-8 million years old. As for urban exploring, there are all kinds of abandoned buildings like military installations, movie theaters and schools in my area that I have been looking into for some time. It's a trip looking at some of the photos on this site and knowing I have been where some of you have been.

Hi everyone,
Just found this place and I'm excited to meet like-minded folk. I haven't been on an urban exploration in awhile, but I'm aching to get back in. I live in Atlanta, and my last trip was to a medical facility that had about ten small buildings all connected by underground tunnels. I must have gone down there at least 10 times, it was so cool. That was about 7 years ago, I know it hasn't been renovated but I'd be curious to know if any of you guys have been down there recently, or if they've tightened up security. Anyways, glad to be here!

It's alright. Just as long as you don't tell me next that you're actually a hobbit or something and she's an elf princess.

You can only go so far with these romantic fairytale things until everyone wants to bash your head in with a spiked club.

=)

Oh and again, welcome to UER!

Unless you happen to actually be a hobbit and elf princess. Then that's worth talking about.

Hey everyone, I go by buckyball, I'm a second-year engineering student at the University of Toronto. I haven't been exploring for too long, maybe a year, but I really enjoy it. I have been taking photographs for a very long time and am always trying to get the best angles and views, so maybe that's the reason I like exploring. I have been mostly rooftopping, but I am now starting to try other explorations. If there is anyone in Toronto who would wanna go exploring sometime, feel free to msg me.

Hows it going everyone? I am 20, into art, and looking to get back into exploring the urban landscape. I used to walk train tracks and explore a few buildings here in there, but haven't done much in recent years. I wanna get back into this shit. I'm in the boston area, and even though i've read there's lots of places around, I haven't the slightest idea of where to start looking. So if you're a bostonian, hit me up

Hi, I'm Jane, and I'm from the Owen Sound area of Ontario in Canada.
Exploring abandoned houses has always been a fascination to me - started when I was a little kid, and my dad took me hiking and exploring. We lived near an area that the government had expropriated a very large chunk of property, which resulted in an excess of abandoned farms. Learned very early on to be very quiet, watchful, show respect for property, and MOST important - to run VERY FAST if spotted!

I had no idea there were any other people who enjoyed doing this - how fantastic to find out there are many others.

Thank you for creating this site!

Whats up everyone, I figured I start here being a new member to the forum -- but not new to sport. I'm a guy in my late 20s living on the north side of Chicago. My interest in UE began from my trips to Greece as a kid to my parents village in the Zagori where I would explore old WWII ruins with friends. During high school a few of us during track and field meets would enter and explore every school we visited. Lately during my interior architecture degree I would explore some of our project sites with my special someone from class. But only recently I started taking photos and videos of some places I have explored (above ground) for the most part. I have already met with some of the Chicago group so it's a nice start to meeting the community.

Hello there fellow urban explorers.

Im Tyler, 19, and love to explore on my own. My friends are too pussy to come along with me day or night...

Im really looking forward to meet new people on here and maybe even explore with the few of you. Im from Connecticut and there aren't to many easy places to explore. There are a few in my town including these few pics i took at an unused missile site that has been overgrown and damaged by the occasional fuck ups that roam the place. (As seen below)

Chirping noises, the fresh air, the sounds of my footsteps and breathing, and the morning light are my favorite experiences i enjoy when i explore.

Hope to hear from a few of you soon.
