Hi there. I am in Maryland and have been interested in taking pictures of everything and anything that catches my eye. As a friend of mine put it "always a crap shoot and sometimes crap". I have been told I am hyper critical. I will often think I have a great shot and two days later can not figure out what I was originally looking at. I was recently at Grey Mill near me in Catonsville MD and am still going through the shots. I do not prefer any one thing over another.1. Needed to remove the pics. They looked better on a different viewer.

Hey! I'm from South Carolina, and you can call me Jolie. I'm fascinated by derelict architecture, and though I've been exploring abandoned structures for years, I only recently discovered the Urban Exploration community. I've started taking some pictures of the places around my area as well, though I wouldn't say I'm very good yet. I look forward to getting to know some of you in the future!

Hi, I'm Calum, I'm 23. I live in Bathgate in Scotland. Am very new to this, although I've seen some pretty cool things the last few weeks, like the ROC Station in West Calder and the old WWII RAF Base in Crail. RAF Crail: RAF Kirknewton: Inside the ROC at West Calder:

i am the other yourself. "Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices? I've heard them calling my name. Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors. The voice might be one and the same. I've heard it too many times to ignore it. It's something that I'm supposed to be." http://www.flickr....orers/collections/ |

If it's something that not a lot of people wouldn't do... then wouldn't it be something that most people WOULD do? Just wondering. But welcome, all the same. There are at *least* 65,000 other people who would do it as well. I'm not sure how that fits into your double negative though.

Hello! I live at the beach south of Los Angeles. I have always loved taking photographs & I have always loved exploring places that show how even as we build a bigger, stronger, technologically advanced society... nature will always come back to reclaim it. I never had a name for it until earlier this year when I was researching an old hospital I had come across in MD. Then I started researching the term "Urban Exploration" & came across this site. I look forward to meeting some of you in my area, as well as maybe travelling for some meets as well. I think it's more fun to do things together, and plus I don't like visiting dark places alone.

Hey! My name is Devin, 21 years old, and I am located in Minneapolis. I am part of the group known as Tetris, but people mainly know us as the "Eagan Crew." I have been doing urban exploration for over a year now and attended Mouser Week XIII. I'm usually the one with the harmonica underground.

Hellow Urbexians! found this wonderful site while Searching in google for some "location" in Japan/Tokyo.. Nice! I'm a Urbex-Photographer from switzerland/Berne. Started to visit an take photographs 4 years ago. I don't know why I get interested for this places. Just on a sunny day I visited some wonderful location and was absolutely fascinating! In the next years I travelled to a lot of abandoned places in Germany, Italy and of course in Switzerland (but there aren't much).. In my Photographs I try to visualise the wonderful, sometimes fairytale-like mood of this places. Wanna show the beauty and melancholic, the contrast of life and dead, the change.. Down below are some little selection on my homepage -> http://www.andre-schaeffer.ch/page u can find more and other stuff.. Maybe we will see us on an urbex-trip? Sorry for my bad english, have a nice time where ever u are.. Ansch!

Hello everybody. I'm a 22 year old student from the Southwest Michigan area. A couple buddies of mine have been exploring places for a few years now and I've been lurking on this site for awhile now. Glad I stumbled upon this site via a google search for urban exploration after watching some cool videos of it on YouTube. Anyways, it's cool to see that behind the scenes there is a really rather large community for a hobby/lifestyle like ours. As for what I've already explored; over the years my friend and I have explored a couple abandoned houses, an abandoned hospital, railroad track walking, random buildings in the middle of wooded areas, pretty much anywhere we're able to reach safely and securely. We even checked out a place here in Southwest Michigan that was supposedly a safe house for Al Capone. However, it was long demolished before I got there and I'm still skeptical as to wether or not it was actually his house. Well looking forward to finding new places and sharing photos/stories with you all in the near future!
